Or lovers vs. friends?

I think one of the hardest parts of being in a relationship is finding time to balance between your lover and your friends. In general, it's always hard to please everyone.

The thing I love about my friend is that they are super duper awesome when it comes to understanding how I am in relationships. Seriously. My friends have always been there to pick up the pieces of my broken heart, to give me space to clear my head when I need it, to vent when we get into fights, and to listen to me talk about how happy I am with my significant other. They are just extremely awesome for that, especially because relationship talk can get SOOOOOOOOO annoying.

Knowing what they know about my relationships (the fights, the awkardness, the venting, etc.), my friends are just SO AWESOME when it comes to them actually dealing with my significant other. Instead of being all blehh toward them after knowing about our stupid fights, my friends always go out of their way to make them feel welcome. Pretty much my friends are inviting, nice, friendly people.


In short, I couldn't ask for better friends, for never making me have to choose between my lover and my friends. Not many people could say that. (:

Hannah Montana the Movie

Tonight I watched this awesome movie. And yes, I may be lame for doing so.. But I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT (yeah yeah, go on and judge.. I don't care!). I'm actually surprised that I loved it as much as I did. My theater experience consisted of laughs, smiles, and even tears. Haha, who knew.

There's nothing really too surprising about the plot. Most everyone could infer what is going to happen in the movie from previews. But it was still a good movie.

Anyway, the best part about the movie was seriously the SOUNDTRACK. I don't listen to country music much, but I thoroughly enjoyed all the songs that were in the movie (albeit, not all Miley/Hannah songs were country). But both Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift have songs on the soundtrack! It was a very pleasant listening experience (as well as viewing experience).

Needless to say, I loooved the movie. I was already a Hannah fan prior to watching (the show is actually really funny.. and my niece loves it!).. So this was great for me.

Rantings of a loon!

- AiR show tonight was AMAZING. I'm so proud of us. We have one more night to go and then AFTER PARTY. Yessssss. Come out and watch!

- I hate working alone on Fridays!!! I get really hungry and, well, no one really wants to work on Friday. Haha.

- Progress: 1 page done of my 12-15 page essay due Monday! -.- The pressure to finish soon is so daunting. I'm gonna get on it once I wake up.....

- Because I'm sleepy. It is almost 1am (kinda early to sleep!) but heyy sleep is good, especially when you're exhausteedddd after a long day of work and singing.

- I miss my booboo! It's not fair when there are nights when I really, really want to just cuddle with him (like tonight) and he's not here! BOO.

So, my a cappella group is doing a Miley Cyrus song for our spring show this weekend. And, well, it got me Youtube-ing all kinds of Disney channel songs! I dunno why. This really is borderline lame, but I kinda (a lot) love the Disney Channel. Haha :X

AiR Spring Show!

Happy Easter!

It is now Easter Sunday which means that Lent is officially over. Yay!

This whole weekend I was feeling REALLY, REALLY homesick (to the point of tears, really) because I couldn't be home for Holy Week and Easter events at my church. It definitely is not as satisfying if you can't go to Church with the people you love most. I've been feeling empty and heartbroken over things I couldn't control, so it hurt even more when I almost ended up going to Church alone for Easter..

Luckily, I ended up going to Easter Mass with two friends. They definitely helped fill the void that I've been feeling from lack of a faith support system. So it was really nice. Afterward we had a nice sit-down lunch at a restaurant because "it's Easter, we gotta do it big." Haha!

Needless to say, I miss my family and best friends a lot. I thought I had something just as close to them up here, but I've realized that it's not the same. They're there for me unconditionally, but especially when I'm feeling down. Definitely not something I get up here.

I can't wait to go home. Until then, I will be celebrating Easter and life by drowning myself in soda (which I gave up for Lent!)

.. And I just woke up. I haven't slept in seriously in WEEKS and it feels sooo gooood. I didn't even sleep in during spring break! So it really has been that long.

Anyhow, I'd rather be asleep than awake thinking about all of this crap I'm feeling.

It was probably unnecessary to write out every little detail of this week and next, but right now I'm not feeling as stressed out as I should be. I really need to get on the grind and motivate myself to do better than I have been. And I def need to start realizing that I really have so much to do! With essays due and midterms and rehearsals every night and show coming up, I really don't have any time to waste.

On that note, I should be working on my essay right now. I'm at work, but when the cat's away the mice shall play. And yes, my boss is out so time to get grindin'.

California A Cappella Festival

My a cappella group, Artists in Resonance, is taking the drive down to LA this weekend to perform at the California A Cappella Festival (CAF) hosted at UCLA. It should be a fun show, and it's free! So if you're in the area and feel like watching some good old-fashioned musicianship at work, come through!

Yikes, UCSD FAIL.

Apparently, UCSD sent out acceptance e-mails to EVERYONE who applied, even if they were supposed to be rejected. Remember how sucky it felt to get rejected? (Well, I don't personally know... hahah). Well, imagine how much worse it would feel to get accepted first and thennn get rejected. Haha. OUCH.
