Was reading old blogs and found this survey that I took from Kristine (http://kdgz.tumblr.com) two years ago (which she herself has been doing for 7 straight years.. Impressive! haha). Anyway, it's pretty much all-encompassing so why not.
1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Traveled internationally all by myself, visited Paris, France for the first time, lived in a foreign country for 7 weeks, learned how to speak French. Pretty much my summer experience was amazing. .. Not to mention I had just turned 21 so you could pretty much infer the new bar/club experiences I had (in America).
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Didn't make any for the past year. Probably for next year though, I will resolve to get back on a regular exercise regimen, get my life together, get a job, figure stuff out..
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Close? Hmm.. A couple of my high school friends did, but none that I'm really close to.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Rest in Paradise Uncle Eric, Kara, and Auntie Janet.
5. What countries did you visit?
France!
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
My own car, please. Also, a steady income supply (been at the same job for the past couple of years but living to paycheck to paycheck is no good). Oh also (inevitable), my degrees. (:
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Dates right now are just impossible to remember. But memories don't ever leave. I have so many!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Well, living and SURVIVING in a foreign country where I did not speak the language. This, after everyone telling me the basic plotline for "Taken". Good thing I hadn't seen it before I left! But seriously, it was such an amazing experience and I'm proud of myself for letting it happen.
9. What was your biggest failure?
The B+ I got this semester that ruined a potentially 4.0 (spring and summer were 4.0 semesters) year. Gah. Hahahaha. That, and not planning accordingly for the LSAT and law school applications. Gah.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing serious, although I got struck with the flu during Thanksgiving week, a very inconvenient time since that was the time I needed for the LSAT.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
BEST thing? Hmm. Can't say..
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Paolo, for finally realizing and seeing what's there before him after 2 years of being lame. Hahahaha. Jk. Kinda.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Haha. I can't publish that.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Omgggg PARIS. Seriously. So expensive.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My Paris trip!
16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Hahahaha. Unfortunately, Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling
17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
Same, if not happier now. (:
ii. thinner or fatter?
I'll say thinner. For some reason I've been losing weight (not purposely) and it's really starting to worry me.
iii. richer or poorer?
Poorer. I was gonna say the same, except that now I have credit card bills..
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Omgah, keep up a regular exercise regimen. I was good at the beginning of the year, then I went to Paris and stopped working out.. Haha. Also, keep in touch with people. I'm really bad at human interaction, mostly because I value alone time very highly. Lastly, study/read for classes this past semester.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Drink, honestly.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Went to Mass at 10pm for Christmas Eve and was able to sing with the Choir. Afterwards went to Auntie Cielo's house and got reunited with everyone. The next day, my family (plus Allan) had a gift-opening! Then we went to Auntie Maribel's house for lunch. Came home and watched the game, and Siene and the Belenzo's came over. (:
22. Did you fall in love in 2009?
Everyday.
23. How many one night stands?
None
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Wizards of Waverly Place? Haha. Umm. I don't know. I didn't do much TV watching this year.. Although Paolo and I spent many late nights watching Family Guy and Two-and-a-Half Men. (:
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't hate anyone, although I do dislike the same people.. Maybe a little less though because I'm just gradually getting over everything.
26. What was the best book you read?
Sad. I don't think I read ONE book this year. Although I'm currently reading The Time Traveler's Wife but don't think I'll finish in time for the new year. It's good so far.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
David Guetta. Not that I didn't know about him before, but he's really expanding his musical networks and so far I've loved everything he's put out. Also, Taylor Swift. Don't hate.
28. What did you want and get?
Paris, France <3
29. What did you want and not get?
Wicked. Hahaha.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Omg. I barely watch any movies at the theater, but I some of the ones I saw were amazing. Most recently, AVATAR. Awesome movie. Besides that, Transformers 2 (which I saw in Paris), Star Trek, and Up. (:
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Turned 22 on Christmas Eve, so my friends and I went to the bar on the night of the 23rd. Had about 5 vodka-crans and vodka-redbulls and then someone bought me a birthday shot. Spent my birthday hungover. -.-
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
More money, as usual. And, traveling out of the country while I was in France... ALSO, if my bestfriends and/or boyfriend were in Paris with me, that would've been just amazing.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
I don't have a fashion concept... Maybe, though, if it's affordable and looks good I'd wear it. Haha.
34. What kept you sane?
Music, family, bestfriends, Paolo.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you want the most?
PHARRELLLL. I was SO close to him when I saw him in concert!
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Wasn't a fan of the budget cut protests on campus... Although not a fan of the budget cuts either.
37. Who did you miss?
EVERYONE when I went to Paris.
38. Who are cool new people you met?
My friends from Paris, namely Cindy, Ashley, and Alex. (:
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009?
I blogged this quote already, but it's fitting: “If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.” - Frank A. Clark .. Also, seize every opportunity, because otherwise you may end up missing out on something or someone really amazing. Truth!
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
Unfortunately, it is none other than: "I gotta feeling, that tonight's gonna be a good night!" - Black Eyed Peas. Haha, SERIOUSLY.

22 & Christmas
My birthday came and went as usual, just got another age older but feel the same anyhow. This was my first birthday actually going out to celebrate.. I usually can't since Christmas Eve is reserved for Church and family things. But I spent my birthday at midnight at a bar, got incredibly wasted, and pretty much spent the day of my birthday hungover. Hahaha. I think I'm straight off doing that again.. Not that I'm getting "too old" for it, but just that I'd prefer not to be hungover on Christmas Eve again. Haha.
Christmas was nice and chill as usual as well. Got a few good gifts (.. like my new Nintendo DSi, courtesy of my amazing boyfriend) but of course it was just enough for me to be in San Diego in the company of my family for the holiday.
Anyway, I guess that's really all for my holiday update. I'm now 22 and I hope all of you had a very joyous, family-filled, merry merry Christmas. (:

AiR Fall Show 2009
I can't believe it's already the end of the semester. The next 3 days are going to be awful for me, with AiR's fall show occupying my next two nights, sandwiching my LSAT exam on Saturday morning.... With a nice visit from my family all weekend as the icing on the cake.
Anyway, help alleviate my stress by coming out to our show if you're in the area! I've got pre-sales or you could buy at the door.

Hope to see you there!

LSAT?
Who knew studying for the LSAT could be so fun?
Still not feeling too confident about Saturday's LSAT, but I've been having fun studying for it. If only this test didn't hold the fate of my future in its hands, I'd feel better.
Unfortunately, this test determines the following:
- Whether or not I should turn in apps for law school this cycle
- Where I'll be living in a year
- Whether or not I have to find a 9-5
- Whether or not I have to start paying back my loans
- Deeper thought as to whether I should join the military
... So pretty much every important thing in my life once I graduate college.
BLLLLAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

Never too late to be thankful
Thanksgiving was almost a week ago but I'm still so thankful everyday for the many things in my life. Some things I'm thankful for:

FAMILY, of course. My number one support system, the main reason that I am where I'm at today. We are a silly bunch, and despite all the ups&downs we always have each other's backs.

Bestfriend, through thick and thin. I fall short of being a good friend, but he never does. One of the few who knows me best and still accepts and loves me despite all my shortcomings. One of my main inspirations.

My two main ladies, who've shown me the meaning of true friendship. I consider them like sisters, and I've come to the conclusion that I can't live without them.

AiR, for being my constant. I feel like I'm in a relationship with them, because they give me so many ups and downs, but when we get it right it's just absolutely amazing. I'm proud of us, and am glad that I have someone I could sing with. (:
That's it for now.. But please believe this is not a comprehensive list of the things I'm thankful for, because that list is endless. Let's just say that I am truly blessed and no amount of words or pictures could ever portray that.
